Our client, a prominent company in the infrastructure services sector, is entering a significant phase of system automation and internal restructuring. To support this transformation, they are seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Officer to join their team on a permanent basis.

You will need to be a skilled professional with extensive high-volume accounts payable experience, who thrives in a fast-paced and constantly evolving environment. You will need to be self-sufficient, highly organised, and capable of independently managing your workload during this pivotal period.

Key Responsibilities:

• End-to-End Accounts Payable Processing: Overseeing the full accounts payable function, from invoice receipt to payment, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Reconciliation: Performing regular reconciliations of supplier statements, bank accounts, and other financial records to maintain accurate and up-to-date accounts.
• Expense Management: Handling employee expenses and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Vendor Liaison: Acting as the primary point of contact for vendors, managing enquiries, resolving discrepancies, and maintaining positive supplier relationships.
• Month-End Support: Assisting with month-end close activities, including accruals, journals, and other necessary reporting.
• Process Improvement Participation: Contributing ideas and supporting initiatives aimed at automating and streamlining the accounts payable process as part of the company's system upgrades.

About You:

To excel in this role, will need:

• A minimum of three years' end-to-end accounts payable experience.
• Proficiency with Business Central or large ERP (highly regarded).
• Proven ability to manage a high-volume workload.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• A proactive attitude towards change and continuous improvement.
