Charterhouse Partnership are currently partnering with a reputable manufacturing business, based in Brisbane, who are looking for an Accounts and Payroll Officer to join their growing team. This is a broad and hands-on role, reporting directly to the Financial Controller. You’ll be responsible for managing the day-to-day payroll and accounts functions, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency within a busy production environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process end-to-end payroll for weekly and monthly cycles
  
  
• Ensure compliance with relevant awards, EBAs, and legislation (STP, PAYG, Super, etc.)
  
  
• Accounts payable and receivable processing, including invoice matching and reconciliations
  
  
• Bank reconciliations and cash flow support
  
  
• Assist with BAS, month-end reporting, and audit preparation
  
  
• Respond to payroll queries and support employee onboarding from a payroll perspective
  
  

About You:

• 3+ years' experience in a similar Payroll or Accounts Officer role
  
  
• Strong working knowledge of payroll systems (e.g., KeyPay, MYOB, or similar)
  
  
• Sound understanding of Australian payroll legislation and award interpretation
  
  
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and financial software
  
  
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
  
  
• Strong interpersonal skills and a team-oriented mindset
