We are partnering with a large, 3rd generation Australian-owned and operated business—a true category leader with a national footprint across all major food industry channels. With products ranging from finished goods to ingredients and custom solutions, they serve as a trusted partner to the nation's biggest names in food.

About the Role This newly created role of Business Development Manager – Oceania is a rare opportunity to lead strategic growth across the foodservice channel. The role has a strong emphasis on new business acquisition with a minor component dedicated to maintaining long-standing strategic relationships with major retailers and food manufacturing/B2B food clients.

Thanks to deeply embedded trading partnerships, these existing accounts are stable and require minimal farming—freeing you to focus on driving new revenue opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Major foodservice distributors
  • National/multi-site hospitality groups
  • End-user venues across Oceania
  • Identify, target, and secure new foodservice customers, including:
  • Develop and execute tailored go-to-market strategies, leveraging either indirect distribution channels or direct-to-customer models depending on opportunity scale.
  • Maintain and strengthen existing strategic accounts with select B2B food and retail partners.
  • Collaborate with internal teams on bespoke product solutions.
  • Analyse market trends, customer insights, and competitor activity to inform strategy.

What You Bring:

  • 3–5+ years’ experience in a national sales or business development role, focused on the foodservice channel.
  • Proven success in new business acquisition and strategic account development.
  • Bonus: experience in B2B food and/or working with fresh or short shelf-life products.
  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to tailor solutions across a diverse customer base.
  • A proactive, entrepreneurial mindset and a passion for the food industry.
