Company: An 50 year old global commercial finance company, established in Europe and building out their presence out in Australia's Vendor Equipment Finance market.
Their platform is market leading and highly automated, so non-finance people can easily: Quote, Approve , e-Document, e-Sign and Settle, commercial asset finance deals.
Unlike many players, this company is a true funder with their own balance sheet to lend. They also have been in Australia for 8+ years now, so they are really starting to hit the growth curve! Hence this role.
Opportunity: With a long list of equipment dealers / resellers / distributors who are supplying Australian business with the equipment they need to run. Think of: IT, Telco, Print, Office equipment, Lighting, Security systems, Machinery, green energy, Racking etc... Now give them the power to sell on a payment plan and think of how that helps those suppliers with customer retention.
Role: Reports to the VIC state sales manager in Melbourne and will originate relationships with dealers of business critical assets, typically: IT, Print, Telephony, Commercial equipment Vendors, Resellers and Dealers. These relationships will help those dealers sell on payment plans (leasing/rental plans) from 6 to 60 month (5 years) terms.
This role is originations focused, looking to expand their dealer introducer network, by showing them how to succeed with leasing.
Use leasing to:
- Retain customer relationships,
- Enhance sales margins / basket size
- Customers pay for business assets as they use them, on simple tax deductible lease payments
The role will pick up a portfolio and while it is important to continue to develop those vendors/resellers, this role will be expected to cold call and approach new introducers to further develop equipment leasing opportunities.
They also get a lot of success in attending trade shows in order to connect with such equipment sellers.
Requirements: We are looking to discuss this role with applicants who can show the following:
1. Prior B2B sales origination history, ideally focused on building reseller, vendor or dealer networks in business equipment.
2. A background in equipment finance also helps, even if you were working for a supplier you sells with finance.
3. Driven originator, to expand partnerships and increase finance penetration (as a % of the dealer's sales) through training plans
