About the Role
We are currently seeking a proactive and community-minded Building Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of a premium apartment building in Melbourne's CBD, home to 145 apartments. In this key role, you will be the primary point of contact for residents and visitors, working closely with the Facilities Manager to ensure building maintenance is carried out in line with compliance standards and that contractors deliver high-quality results.
Key Responsibilities
• Act as the on-site liaison for residents, visitors, and contractors
• Oversee daily building operations and resident communications
• Coordinate routine inspections, maintenance tasks, and contractor works
• Ensure compliance with OH&S and building procedures
• Maintain a high standard of presentation and cleanliness throughout the property
• Contribute to a safe, neighbourly, and welcoming community environment
About You
We’re looking for someone who takes pride in their work and genuinely cares about the resident experience. You’ll be confident working independently and have a strong sense of responsibility when it comes to follow-through and task completion.

Essential Skills & Experience:
• Proven leadership and people management abilities
• Ability to manage cleaners, contractors, consultants, and residents effectively
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and willingness to learn building management systems
• Strong stakeholder and relationship management skills
• Understanding of workplace health and safety standards
• Confidence in obtaining quotes and negotiating service contracts
• Previous experience in a similar role is highly desirable
