With a strong commitment to quality, compliance, and client satisfaction, we are now seeking an experienced Building & Maintenance Operations Manager to lead our field teams and oversee day-to-day operations.

About the Role:

As our Building & Maintenance Operations Manager, you will be responsible for the end-to-end coordination of renovation projects and property maintenance services. This includes managing site teams, overseeing contractor performance, ensuring safety compliance, and maintaining high standards of workmanship.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage all aspects of building operations, including repairs, maintenance, project delivery, budgeting, and contractor coordination.
• Develop and implement building management strategies to optimise performance, efficiency, and client satisfaction.
• Lead and coordinate trades, subcontractors, and the internal maintenance team to ensure timely, high-quality service delivery.
• Liaise with clients, property managers, and internal stakeholders to manage expectations and maintain strong working relationships.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, budgets, asset registers, and service agreements.
• Inspire and motivate the team, fostering a positive culture and demonstrating a ‘leader as coach’ approach to build capability and engagement.
• Oversee scheduling, job allocation, and resource planning to meet operational requirements.
• Ensure compliance with WHS legislation and site safety protocols at all times.
• Monitor project budgets, procurement activities, and cost controls to ensure financial efficiency.
• Conduct regular site inspections, manage defect rectification works, and maintain quality standards across all sites.
• Assist with quoting, tender submissions, and contract negotiations as required.

About You:

• Proven experience in building, construction, or property maintenance management
• Strong leadership and team management skills
• Sound understanding of building codes, safety regulations, and compliance requirements
• Excellent time management, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Trade qualification or relevant construction/maintenance background (preferred)
• Proficiency in job management software and reporting tools
• Driver’s license required
