Senior Tax Manager – ASX Listed Engineering & Infrastructure Business
Sydney or Melbourne | $210k package + Bonus

An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Tax Manager to join the corporate head office of a major ASX-listed business. This is a full-time permanent role, based in either Sydney or Melbourne, with a focus on tax compliance, governance and transformation.

Reporting to the Tax Director, this senior leadership position offers a 60–70% compliance and 30–40% advisory split, giving you the opportunity to influence how tax is governed, delivered and improved across a large, complex group.

Key responsibilities include:

• Leading tax governance and controls, ensuring frameworks are current and effective
• Overseeing income tax compliance and financial reporting requirements, supported by a high-performing team
• Driving automation and transformation of tax processes, identifying outsourcing or co-sourcing opportunities
• Providing technical tax advice across corporate, international and indirect tax
• Supporting projects including bids, tenders, divestments and large-scale commercial contracts
• Managing interactions with revenue authorities and statutory auditors
• Coaching and developing junior staff across compliance and advisory functions

What we’re looking for:

• At least 10 years of tax experience, ideally combining Big 4 training with in-house roles in large corporates
• A strong background in sectors such as infrastructure, engineering, property, construction, mining, retail or FMCG is preferred
• Expertise in income tax and international tax, with strong reporting knowledge
• Confident communicator with a practical, business-minded approach to tax risk and advisory
• Experience leading change through transformation, automation or process improvement initiatives
• CA/CPA or Masters of Tax qualifications highly regarded
