The Role:

TOM People are seeking a capable and hands-on Tax Manager to join a sophisticated private Family Office with significant interests in property, trusts, and private investments.

Reporting directly to the Group CFO, this is an excellent opportunity to manage the end-to-end tax affairs of a high-net-worth family and their associated entities.

What You’ll Be Doing:

Manage the tax compliance and lodgement process for a range of entities, including family trusts, investment vehicles, property entities, and personal tax returns.

Ensure compliance with relevant Australian tax laws and regulations (income tax, CGT, GST, Division 7A, trust distributions, etc.).

Prepare or review BAS, income tax returns, and FBT for relevant entities.

Work closely with the CFO on tax strategy, structuring advice, and investment planning.

Liaise with external advisors, ATO, and legal professionals as required.

About You:

CA or CPA qualified, with 5-8 years’ experience in a tax-focused role, ideally with a Big 4/mid-tier accounting firm.

Strong working knowledge of trust taxation, property structures, and private client tax.

Highly organised, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple entities with minimal supervision.

Proactive, commercially aware, and comfortable working in a discreet, high-trust environment.
