About the role

As the Warehouse Manager for Petco Holdings Pty Ltd, you will be responsible for overseeing and implementing the efficient and effective operation of our small business warehouse located in Hoppers Crossing, VIC. This role is a 28-38 hour a week role with the option for flexible working hours.

What you'll be doing

Manage and coordinate all warehouse activities, including inventory management, storage, picking, packing and dispatch

Oversee the receiving, storage and distribution of incoming goods and materials

Transport of stock between our Lara and Hoppers Crossing Warehouses

Develop and implement strategies to improve warehouse productivity, efficiency and cost-effectiveness

Maintain the warehouse to a high level of tidiness and cleanliness

Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety and environmental regulations

Liaise with our store managers to ensure smooth operations and stock control

Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes as needed

Non-negotiables

Significant experience (5+ years) managing warehouse operations

Current forklift license and significant experience (5+ years) operating a forklift

Experience in implementing and maintaining warehouse safety procedures

Fast and hard worker

Attention to detail

High benchmark for cleanliness

Able to work independently and take initiative

Physically fit (Job involves lifting boxes)

Strong understanding of warehouse management systems, inventory control processes and distribution best practices

Adaptable to ever-changing business processes and procedures

Computer skills (Microsoft Office)
