About the Role

As Team Leader, you will head up a team of Educators, with whom you will work collaboratively to drive the learning and development of the children entrusted to your care. You will also benefit from an stimulating, engaging and age-appropriate environment where the RIE approach is embedded into daily practice.

• Robust communication and relationship building skills
• Ready to implement contemporary, evidence-informed pedagogy
• Open to our innovative and unique way of programming and practice
• Strong leader, inclusive of others, and brings a positive attitude every day
• Interest in/passion for and motivation to actively model and embed the RIE approach
• Enthusiastic, dedicated and reliable professional who is relentless in the pursuit of excellence for children and willing to grow with the service
• Flair for building and maintaining positive relationships and meaningful connections with colleagues, families, children, and the wider community.

Essential Criteria:

• Valid Blue Card
• Understanding of contemporary child-safe practices
• Recognised Early Childhood Teaching (ECT) degree
• Available 5 days a week for full-time work all hours the service is operational
• Strong proven Team/Room Leader/Lead Educator and/or Early Childhood Teaching experience, ideally with the Kindy age group (or similar)
• Current relevant First Aid, CPR, Anaphylaxis and Asthma Certificates as well as Child Protection training completed within the last 12 months, specifically CHCPRT025 - 'Identify and Report Children and Young People at Risk' (or willing to obtain/renew as required).
