About the Role:
You will be reporting to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), the Lifestyle Services Team Leader is an initiative-taking and inspiring leader who can hit the ground running to manage strategic and day-to-day operations and further develop the program to ensure that it is in the forefront in the provision of disability services or any other related industries.
You'll need to thrive in a busy, fast paced environment, have fantastic interpersonal skills and love collaborating with other divisions to create exceptional client experiences. You must have excellent administration and computer skills and the ability to work both autonomously as well as collaboratively with management and other departments. While this position is primarily based in our Townsville office, it does offer variety of being out in the community and visiting our Supported Independent Living homes.
Some of your key responsibilities will include:
• The Lifestyle Services Team Leader will review, develop and implement efficient and streamline business processes in line with the NDIS Service Delivery Model. The Lifestyle Services Team Leader will work with local community networks to develop service agreements.
• The Lifestyle Services Team Leader will have the knowledge and experience within a NDIS environment to proactively market and promote abbaCare Disability Services Programs within the Northern Queensland region.
• The Lifestyle Services Team Leader will ensure professional standards; legislative requirements and the organisation mission, values and objectives are met across all programs in accordance with the strategic plan.
• Working closely with 5 direct reports - must supervise, coach and manage the Lifestyle Services Team to deliver efficient programs in accordance with Quality Assurance frameworks.
• Must ensure customer-facing staff have appropriate tools, skills and training to deliver services to Participants
• Provide on-call support to staff and participants as required/per on-call roster requirements.
Essential Criteria:
• A minimum of 3 years proven experience in the Disability sector with proven knowledge skills, experience and judgement in delivering best practice support services to participants.
• At least 1 year people management and/or case coordination experience in a disability, health or aged care environment.
• Demonstrated understanding of issues relating to the provision of disability services including knowledge and experience in the marketing of a developing business.
• Demonstrated ability to identify and personally deal with complex Participant matters.
• The ability to manage competing priorities, complex scenarios, and overseeing a team of staff who have a range of competing priorities and reporting deadlines to meet.
• Strong business and financial knowledge acumen with thorough understanding and experience working within Participant funding and organizational budgets.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and manage people; develop and maintain motivated, professional and effective work team/s.
• Excellent communication skills, organizational skills, accuracy with attention to detail
• A team player, who is also capable of working autonomously with minimum supervision
• Current and valid Queensland Blue Card and NDIS Worker Screening Check Clearance
• Current and valid driver’s license and access to a fully insured vehicle
• First Aid Certificate and CPR Certificate
Desirable:
• Registered Nurse or other Allied Health, Social/ Mental Work qualification would be held in high regard
• Knowledge of SCHADS Awards, Industrial Relations and the Disability Inclusion Act.
• Sound knowledge and understanding of the NDIS Framework
