About the role

Macbild is seeking an experienced Estimator with CA Experience to join our growing team in Heidelberg West, Victoria. As a full-time Estimator, you will play a crucial role in the success of our construction projects by providing accurate cost estimates and supporting the tendering process.

What you'll be doing

Analyse project requirements, specifications, and drawings to prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects

Collaborate with project managers, quantity surveyors, and subcontractors to gather and validate cost data

Prepare tender submissions, including the compilation of all necessary documentation

Identify potential risks and opportunities to optimise project costs

Maintain a comprehensive database of cost data, labour rates, and material prices

Assist with the preparation of progress claims, variations, and final accounts

Monitor and prepare purchase orders for the duration of the build

What we're looking for

Experience (3+ years) as an Estimator in the construction industry

Strong technical skills in reading and interpreting construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents

Proficiency in cost estimating software and technologies, such as spreadsheet applications

Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and mathematical skills

Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders

Tertiary qualification in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field
