We are a vibrant organisation dedicated to improving the lives of NDIS participants through high-quality Support Coordination and Psychosocial Recovery Coaching. Our goal is to empower people with disabilities to gain greater independence, engage in their communities, and enhance their personal wellbeing.
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Coordinator / Psychosocial Recovery Coach to join our team. This role is pivotal in helping participants navigate their NDIS plans and achieve their personal recovery goals.
Support Coordinator Role
Work with participants to ensure access to a diverse range of supports aimed at:
Increasing their capacity to maintain relationships.
Enhancing their ability to manage service delivery tasks.
Promoting greater independence.
Facilitating community inclusion.
Attributes:
Strong coordination and collaboration skills to engage with service providers and stakeholders.
Ability to facilitate empowerment and skill development for NDIS participants.
Psychosocial Recovery Coach Role
Support individuals with psychosocial disabilities to lead fulfilling lives, with an emphasis on:
Maintaining engagement during periods of increased support needs due to the episodic nature of mental illness.
Collaborating with participants, families, carers, and other services to identify, plan, design, and coordinate tailored NDIS supports.
Attributes:
Ability to build trust and rapport, particularly with those facing psychosocial challenges.
Commitment to a recovery-oriented approach, focusing on personal growth and empowerment.
Distinct Roles
Both roles involve working with participants to enhance their lives through the NDIS, focusing on relationship building, independence, and community inclusion.
Support Coordinator: Focuses more broadly on navigating the NDIS system, coordinating services, and managing the implementation of the NDIS plan.
Psychosocial Recovery Coach: Has a specialised focus on mental health recovery, resilience building, and maintaining support during fluctuating mental health conditions. This role requires specific experience or qualifications in mental health or peer support work.
Must possess:
Tertiary qualifications in peer work or mental health, such as a Certificate IV in Mental Health Peer Work or Certificate IV in Mental Health, or equivalent training.
At least three years experience in the Support Coordinator / Psychosocial Recovery Coach role .
Experience in mental health-related work.
Hold a valid NDIS Worker Screening Check and all relevant mandatory documentation.
