Job Description
The Role
As the Community Development Manager (CDM) at Beyond Bank Australia, you’ll be at the forefront of driving new markets and business opportunities across the dynamic corridor covering the regions of Wagga Wagga, Griffith, Leeton, Coolamon, Ganmain and Albury. This region, rich in agricultural heritage, vibrant local enterprises, and close-knit communities, offers a unique opportunity to foster meaningful relationships and create lasting impact.
You’ll thrive on building strong, impactful connections with local businesses, community groups, and B Corp partners, helping to elevate our brand presence and showcase the positive change we aim to deliver. Your work will be instrumental in identifying and nurturing opportunities that align with our values and contribute to the sustainable growth of the region.
Collaboration will be key as you engage with internal teams to ensure alignment in building mutually beneficial relationships and outcomes. You’ll embody and promote Beyond Bank’s values and practices, making a real difference every day in the lives of people of the Riverina region.
In the role you will:
- Craft a dynamic business development strategy that sparks new community banking relationships, driving portfolio success in the region.
- Foster internal relationships to create a truly collaborative environment, ensuring we work as one to meet our customers’ needs.
- Blend your passion for banking with your love for the community sector, making a tangible impact.
- Design and implement an engaging community strategy that builds strong, mutually beneficial relationships.
- Champion our brand strategy by developing regional community partnerships, strategies, programs, activities, and initiatives that boost awareness and community attributes.
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with like-minded stakeholders across the community sector, purpose-driven organizations, government, and media to support our strategy.
- Create vibrant community engagement activations, events, and partnerships that align with and support our community strategy.
Qualifications
About you
You should be a driven and goal-focused person. One that possesses a strong passion for the community sector and creating value by building new business opportunities that support and enhance customers and non-customers. You love building relationships, collaborating and would be effective in engaging with community partners and internal departments.
- Strong business development experience
- Banking experience desirable.
- Able to build and manage a sales pipeline to achieve targets.
- Demonstrated experience in managing the interests of internal and external stakeholders
- Possess excellent interpersonal and presentation skills with a strong sense of self-awareness
- Love to travel across the Riverina region connection to your communities
