We’re seeking a passionate and results-driven Business Development Manager (BDM) to lead strategic growth by cultivating meaningful relationships and building strong referral networks with key professionals across the medical and aged care sectors.
The ideal candidate will bring a well-established network that may include GPs, hospital staff, allied health providers, and/or private specialists, particularly within the Aged Care space. We're looking for someone who thrives in a B2B sales environment and isn’t afraid to roll up their sleeves - whether it’s knocking on doors or picking up the phone, to uncover new referral opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
Identify, recruit, and manage relationships with medical referrers, healthcare professionals, allied health and Support Coordinators.
Develop and manage our Referrer Presentation Kit including brochures, PPT presentation, gifts.
Collaborate with marketing to design and implement collateral, content events and networking opportunities.
Identify new business opportunities and referral pathways in the medical/healthcare sector.
Develop CPD education presentations and customized education and events for medical/industry partners and influencers.
Manage relationships to generate referrals and provide updates and feedback on referrals.
Help shape product positioning and messaging through insights gathered from medical referrers and the wider industry.
Measure performance and ROI of outreach and relationship management.
Provide regular reports and insights to senior leadership on business development outcomes and medical referrer impacts on the business.
Requirements:
Network of medical/industry referrers, healthcare professionals ideally within the Aged Care sector or related field
5+ years’ experience in business development
Experience with management and implementation of CPD programs
Passionate self-starter with tenacity and perseverance
Excellent presentation, and interpersonal skills
Proficient in Salesforce
Desirable but not Essential:
Understanding of Support at Home and NDIS funding
Qualifications in business, marketing or sales related field
Designing and/or developing CPD Programs
Experience in a startup or high-growth healthcare company
Familiarity with digital health platforms, medical education, or patient advocacy networks
Dementia sector knowledge and expertise
