New Vehicle Warranty Administrator.

Our client is a multi-award-winning Automotive Dealership Group experiencing solid growth throughout the business. Located in the western corridor of Brisbane.

With a multi franchise service centre located in Moorooka, servicing 3 new car brands, our client requires a full-time Warranty Administrator to manage and process vehicle warranty claims on behalf of their clients, while working closely with their business partners to achieve positive outcomes.

About the role.

This is a great opportunity for someone who may have been a service advisor, workshop controller or even a technician seeking a career shift off the tools and into an administrative role. This is a fast paced operation which will keep you active, having good mechanical knowledge and the ability to review a service R/O and understand if all the information required to complete a warranty claim is on the R/O is paramount to this position.

As a Warranty administrator you are a key member of the service and parts team reporting directly to the Service Manager, your role is to ensure that all warranty claims are processed in a timely manner within accordance of the manufacturer's guidelines.

To communicate with service and parts staff to ensure that all the relevant information has been provided before a claim for warranty is lodged with any of the manufacturers. To follow the processes required by manufacturers to ensure seamless processing of warranty claims that delivers consistent results for our loyal clients.

To excel in this role, you need a combination of good administrative skills, attention to detail have great time management skills and the confidence to communicate with a wide range of people.

Specifically, the job involves,

  • Processing warranty claims with all the relevant information to expedite any claim.
  • Great computer skills with an understanding of Dealer management systems and manufacturer's interface.
  • Working hand in hand with service and parts staff to establish the extent of work required and what is covered by warranty.
  • Prepare claims in the necessary format and uploading claims into the manufacturer's portal for assessment.
  • Communicating with manufacturer representatives to explain the work involved, gain their approval to proceed and provide regular updates on the progress back to the service staff.
  • Ensuring warranty claims are processed within the manufacturer's allowable timeframes.
  • Dealing with Service Warranty Claims.
  • Ensuring all paperwork is compliant with manufacturers processes and procedures.
  • Working closely with the Service Manager and the Workshop Foreman to ensure all jobs are completed in a timely manner.
  • Assisting with warranty parts reconciliation for future manufacturer audit requirements.
  • Reconciliation of warranty claims with the business accountants.

Remuneration - With a combination of salary and a monthly performance bonus scheme the OTE (on target earnings) for this position would be $80000-$85000 per year + Super. (Commensurate with experience)

Hours of work - 7.30am to 4.30pm Monday to Friday.
