The Lufthansa Group Trade Marketing & Partnerships Manager – AU/NZ is a commercially focused role responsible for driving revenue through the execution of high-impact sales campaigns and activations in collaboration with trade partners, including travel agencies and joint venture partner Airlines. This role ensures that centrally developed marketing assets are effectively localized, amplified, and activated in-market to maximize return on investment and contractual value. It will also incorporate sales call-style work, including visiting agencies and presenting directly to them.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the planning and execution of cooperative sales campaigns with trade partners, including tactical offers, co-funded promotions, and incentive programs.
Activate joint venture marketing opportunities to ensure alignment, visibility, and commercial impact in the AU market.
Deliver physical sales activations such as in-agency sales calls, events, branded promotions, and frontline engagement initiatives to drive bookings and partner loyalty.
Amplify centrally developed marketing campaigns by tailoring them to local trade audiences and ensuring optimal deployment through partner channels.
Collaborate closely with sales teams to identify commercial priorities and ensure campaigns are aligned with revenue targets and market dynamics.
Track campaign performance and partner engagement, reporting on ROI and providing insights to inform future investment decisions.
Manage the creation and distribution of trade-facing materials including sales toolkits, promotional assets, and communications.
Coordinate trade events, webinars, and training sessions to support product launches and seasonal pushes.
Ensure all activity is brand-compliant and aligned with Lufthansa Group’s global strategy.
Skills & Experience
5+ years in trade marketing, sales promotions, or partnership management—ideally within the airline, travel, or tourism sector.
Proven ability to drive sales outcomes through campaign execution and partner collaboration.
Experience managing joint venture or co-branded marketing initiatives.
Strong understanding of B2B marketing and trade engagement strategies.
Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
Commercially minded with a focus on ROI, partner value, and revenue growth.
Qualifications
Tertiary qualification in Business, Marketing, or a related field preferred.
