Founded in 1978, Broome Regional Aboriginal Medical Service (BRAMS) was the first remote Aboriginal Medical Service established in Western Australia. As an Aboriginal community-controlled health service, BRAMS has proudly supported the Broome community for over 40 years through holistic, culturally responsive healthcare.
Delivering over 40,000 occasions of service annually, BRAMS provides a broad range of programs including primary health care, social and emotional wellbeing services, and NDIS support. Guided by the core principles of Aboriginal self-determination, access, and empowerment, BRAMS continues to lead the way in community-focused healthcare delivery across the Kimberley.

About the Opportunities
BRAMS has 2 exciting full-time opportunities available for Aged Care Connectors to join our team in Broome, WA.
This role is all about engaging with local Elders and supporting them to access the aged care services they are entitled to. It’s a people-first position that's perfect for someone passionate about building relationships and making a positive impact. Please find the PD here
Your key responsibilities will include:
Engaging with Elders and their families to raise awareness of aged care entitlements
Supporting clients with goal setting and care coordination
Making internal and external referrals to ensure clients receive appropriate services
Helping clients access and attend appointments
Assisting with My Aged Care registration and review processes
Documenting all activities using MMEx
Collaborating with the Aged Care team to improve service delivery
Promoting cultural safety and inclusion in all client interactions
About You
If you’re community-minded, approachable, and ready to support Elders with care and dedication, we want to hear from you.
The following attributes will be highly regarded:
A genuine willingness to learn on the job
An outgoing and engaging personality, especially with older people
Connections to or understanding of the local Aboriginal community
Understanding of Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisations (ACCHOs)
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
While formal qualifications aren't required, we welcome people with lived experience and those who reflect the diversity of the communities we serve.
Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people are strongly encouraged to apply.
About the Benefits
This is an opportunity to make a real impact of Elders across remote WA. You will receive:
$80,000 - $90,000 base salary, commensurate with experience
$1,300 Remote Annual Allowance
Generous leave entitlements: 6 weeks of annual leave
