The Business

The Traditional Owners of the Warddeken Indigenous Protected Area formed Warddeken Land Management in 2007. Warddeken is an Aboriginal owned, not-for-profit company that combines traditional ecological knowledge with Western science to manage and protect one of Australia’s most unique environments.

Operating from remote homeland communities in west Arnhem Land, we provide employment for hundreds of Indigenous people who engage in vital projects, including fire management, carbon abatement, weed and feral animal control, rock art and ecological conservation, and cultural heritage management.

The Opportunity

The Executive Support and Logistics Coordinator plays a central role in the smooth operation of Warddeken Land Management by providing high-quality executive, administrative and logistical support across all program areas.

This position serves as a key point of coordination between the Darwin-based team and remote field staff, Traditional Owners, community members, project partners, and stakeholders. It ensures that day-to-day operations, travel, governance, compliance, and internal communications are delivered efficiently and in alignment with organisational values.

Operating from the Warddeken Darwin office, the role provides vital executive support to the CEO, Deputy CEO and Board of Directors, ensuring the effective organisation of governance functions, recruitment, onboarding, and office-based operational systems.

The position also plays a pivotal role in supporting the remote-based team by facilitating logistics for meetings, remote travel, workshops and field programs, playing a highly impactful role in the success of on-ground delivery.

In addition to executive and logistics coordination, the role works closely with the Finance team to support processes including payroll, procurement, and the management of the staff ‘wages trust’ (financial stress relief initiative) and food security programs.
