Field Service Mechanical Engineer

Our client requires a Service Engineer to join the Australian team. This exciting new role based in Brisbane requires a dynamic individual with capable leadership abilities and a solid engineering or trade qualification.

If employed you will play a pivotal role in delivering technical expertise, ensuring the reliability of equipment, and providing outstanding service to our customers. The Company deliver the only fully integrated service solution for the powder coating industry throughout Australia.

Engineering Involved

Water Recycling and Wastewater Services: Advanced solutions for water management and recycling.

Powder Coating Application Equipment: Supplying electrostatic spray guns, booths, reciprocators, and ancillary equipment.

Pumps, motors, conveyors, and HVAC systems

Pre-Treatment Chemistry Technology: Delivering and supporting advanced pre-treatment solutions.

Project Management Support: Assistance with the installation, commissioning, and ongoing operation of pre-treatment lines.

The Role

Lead and coordinate service projects, including managing teams and ensuring quality control.

Diagnose mechanical issues and implement effective solutions to minimize downtime.

Provide technical guidance and training to junior team members and clients as needed.

Collaborate with clients to assess their needs, provide recommendations, and deliver exceptional customer service.

Prepare detailed service reports, including documentation of repairs, inspections, and recommendations.

Adhere to health, safety, and e support.environmental regulations and promote a culture of safety within the team.

Travel to client locations as required

Your Background

Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a relevant field, or a recognised trade qualification in mechanical systems or a related discipline.

Minimum 4 years' experience in a field service role, with at least 2 years in mechanical or industrial equipment.

Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage teams and projects effectively.

Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with clients and team members.

Proficiency in interpreting technical drawings, manuals, and specifications.

Familiarity with industry-standard tools, equipment, and diagnostic systems.

Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel extensively.
