Your part in The Wesley Hospital
The Team Leader position is responsible for the efficient delivery and supervision of all front of house activities in the food services department. You will be responsible for basic meal preparation, portioning and serving of hot and cold meals including dishwashing, assembly, distribution and collection of meal trays to customers. This position provides support and instruction with the meal ordering systems by assisting customers in placing meal orders and assessing their capabilities in using the digital meal order system. Please note full availability is essential in these roles. This position is required to work across a roster spanning Monday to Sunday (inclusive), between the hours of 5:00am and 9:00pm, on a 7-day rotating roster.
Food Services Team Leader position is also responsible for the coordination of department training, staff rostering, food safety, and customer feedback. This role works closely with the main production kitchen to ensure maintenance of the food safety program and collection of microbiological samples; meal testing and temperatures are within the specified parameters to ensure a high-quality customer experience.
Desirable experience to have is previous healthcare room service dining.

Food Safety Supervisor Certificate (Desirable)
Entry level food safety for the Health & Community sector - HLTFSE001
Comprehensive knowledge of legislation and standards relevant to WHS, Food Safety and Infection Control in Healthcare
Experience in the collection of food and surface microbiological samples
Experience in customer service and mediating customer concerns
Ability to communicate effectively within a team environment
Excellent time management skills
Intermediate computer literacy and competency in Microsoft office products
previous healthcare room service dining highly desirable.
