Jaxley Constructions PTY LTD is seeking an experienced Carpentry - Leading Hand to join our team in Morayfield, QLD on a contract basis. In this key role, you will be responsible for leading a team of carpenters and overseeing all carpentry work on our construction projects. What you'll be doing

Construction of new homes, from framing, cladding, soffits to fixout.

Timber frames, steel frames both domestic and commercial work

ensure all carpentry work is completed to a high standard and on schedule

Allocating tasks and responsibilities to the carpentry team and monitoring their progress

Providing on-site guidance and technical expertise to the team

Ensuring all work complies with relevant building codes, safety regulations and company policies

Identifying and resolving any issues or challenges that arise on the job site

What we're looking for

Minimum 5 years' experience as a qualified carpenter, with demonstrated leadership and supervisory skills

Strong technical knowledge of carpentry practices, including the ability to read and interpret plans and specifications

Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills to troubleshoot and resolve issues on site

Proven track record of leading and motivating a team to achieve high-quality results

Strong commitment to workplace health and safety

Relevant trade qualifications or certifications
