Mini Car Rentals is looking for a confident, motivated sales all-rounder to join our dynamic team part-time in Cairns—where the reef meets the rainforest!

This isn’t your average desk job. You’ll be closing sales one moment, topping up fluids or prepping a car the next. If you love switching gears (literally and figuratively), this is the role for you.

About the Role:

You’ll be the go-to person for both sales and light vehicle duties - combining people skills with hands-on tasks in a fast-paced car hire environment.

You’ll:

Welcome customers, make bookings and process payments

Recommend the right vehicle and upsell optional extras

Conduct vehicle check-ins/check-outs and complete basic mechanical tasks like topping up oil, checking tyres, or swapping a battery

Help clean and prepare cars for hire

Transfer customers to and from local hotels or Cairns Airport

It’s a varied, active role that suits someone who enjoys cars, people, and getting stuck into a bit of everything.

Roster:

Part-time hours – rostered across weekdays and some weekends depending on demand.

What We’re Looking For:

✅ Sales confidence with great communication skills

✅ Basic mechanical knowledge or a willingness to learn

✅ Comfortable working in both front office and workshop settings

✅ Full open Australian driver’s licence (manual preferred)

✅ Customer-first attitude with attention to detail

✅ A passion for cars and interest in the tourism industry

✅ Ability to work independently and be part of a supportive team

✅ Cairns local or someone looking to stick around long-term
