You will join a team of experienced staff responsible for providing technical and scientific assessments at the The Wesley Hospital Sleep Disorders Centre and The Wesley Lung Function Lab.
This role is responsible for managing and maintaining the financial and general office administrative tasks across our service.
What you’ll do:
Work with the site-based Patient Services staff in the delivery of high-quality patient centred services.
Manage and process financial tasks including the generation of invoices, payment plans, payments, and debt collection.
Be responsible for the financial aspects of the practice, including payroll, and inventory management
Be responsible for medical accounts processing including knowledge of Medicare, DVA and private health funds.
Bank reconciliation, accounts receivable and eligibility checks
Demonstrate ability in using clinical administration systems (Genie/Eclipse) and Microsoft Office software particularly Excel.
Tertiary qualification in healthcare administration, business management, or a related field is highly desirable.
Adhere to relevant Federal and Queensland Health standards, applicable laws, regulations, guidelines.
Provide exceptional patient service ensuring all enquiries are handled appropriately, sensitively and in a timely and professional manner
Supervising and supporting the practice's administrative staff, including scheduling, training, and performance management
Liaise with other medical services, suppliers, and external stakeholders to ensure the smooth running of the practice
Contribute to our friendly and professional service for all our patients, professional partners and stakeholders
Who you are:
Experience in a healthcare practice management role
Tertiary qualification in healthcare administration, business management, or a related field is highly desirable.
Strong understanding of medical practice operations, including medical terminology, billing, and regulatory requirements
Excellent computer, written and oral communication skills including the ability to liaise and negotiate with persons of varied backgrounds and status
Exceptional organisation and communication skills with the ability to efficiently work as an effective member of our experienced and supportive team
Excellent time-management skills including the ability to set priorities, plan, and organise work outcomes within a specified timeframe
Demonstrate an understanding of best practice Workplace Health and Safety
Have an ability to provide friendly and efficient patient care and service
