As they mature into a medium-sized enterprise, they are seeking a hands-on Finance Manager who thrives in dynamic environments and wants to build something impactful from the inside out. This is a rare opportunity to lead a finance function during a pivotal business transformation.
About the Role
This newly restructured position will be responsible for leading and modernising the finance function across national operations. You will manage a capable team and work closely with the Chief Financial Officer to establish scalable systems, support strategic planning, and help shape the roadmap for growth.
You'll own the day-to-day financial operations but also have a voice in long-term planning, process improvements, automation, and site expansions, working closely with all department leads.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Manage weekly, monthly, and quarterly finance cycles across multiple entities and sites
- Lead budgeting and forecasting processes; ensure accurate monthly department updates
- Prepare and present financial reports (P&L, balance sheets, cash flow)
- Monitor working capital, cash flow and funding requirements
- Ensure compliance with statutory reporting (BAS, PAYG, FBT, Workcover, etc.)
- Oversee payroll, accounts receivable, and accounts payable teams
- Lead, mentor, and develop a small finance team
- Establish, document and improve internal processes and financial controls
- Collaborate with all departments to provide insights and strategic guidance
- Support future projects
- Quarterly interstate travel
About You
We're looking for a Finance Manager who has walked the walk—a leader with both small business adaptability and larger business experience. You’ll be the glue between daily execution and strategic transformation.
Must-Have Experience:
- Degree-qualified in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline
- Proven experience as a Finance Manager
- Background in manufacturing or FMCG
- Strong Excel, MYOB, ATO Portals and Microsoft 365 experience
- Confident with leading, motivating and developing a small team
- Ability to present findings to leadership and influence outcomes
- Working collaboratively with teams across functions

- Comfortable in a manufacturing environment - site based at least 4 days. 1 day WFH considered.
