About the Role:
Curtin University has a unique opportunity for an experienced Senior Advisor to join our Employee Wellbeing Team in a full-time, permanent position.
As part of our People & Culture team, you will inspire staff to embrace Curtin’s vision of becoming a leading global university and proudly contribute to achieving that goal. You will work in a vibrant, open-plan office where our customer-focused People and Culture team collaborates to support a diverse range of stakeholders across the university.
We are looking for someone who has recently played a key role in championing their Companies’ Wellbeing Strategy and wellbeing initiatives/activities. Our ideal candidate will enjoy presenting to medium/large forums, have excellent relationship-building skills, thrive in a busy environment, and be comfortable liaising with a variety of stakeholders, across a variety of levels.
Your responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):
- Leading wellbeing initiatives and activities for the University.
- Managing and coordinating non-work-related illnesses/matters/cases.
- Formulating return to work plans.
- Customer engagement.
- Partnering with, and working closely with the H&SE team and HR Business Partnering team.
- Relationship management with customers, including our EAP provider and other providers.
- Producing regular reports.
- Presenting wellbeing initiatives.
- Employee wellbeing event coordination.
Who we are looking for:
- Extensive experience in a similar position (preferably 5-7 + years of experience) coupled with relevant post-graduate qualification.
- Previous experience working in large complex organisations (or in higher education would be highly regarded).
- High-level interpersonal skills for building effective relationships with diverse stakeholders.
- Excellent presentation skills.
- Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively in a team.
Highly Desirable:
- A degree in Human Resources, Psychology, or similar
Role Requirements:
- As this is a continuing (permanent) role, you will require permanent work rights in Australia to be considered.
