About the role

This is an exciting opportunity to join the team at Flame Lane Pty Ltd as a full-time Chef. Reporting to the Head Chef, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality dining experiences to our customers in our restaurant located in Underwood, QLD.

What you'll be doing

• Preparing and cooking a variety of dishes from our seasonal menu, using fresh, high-quality ingredients
• Adhering to health and safety standards in the kitchen and maintaining a clean, organised work environment
• Collaborating with the culinary team to develop new and innovative menu items
• Providing guidance and mentoring to junior kitchen staff
• Ensuring efficient workflow and timely delivery of meals
• Participating in stock management and ordering of kitchen supplies

What we're looking for

• Formal culinary training and a minimum of 2 years' experience as a Chef in a fast-paced restaurant environment
• Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, plating, and presentation
• Ability to work effectively in a team and under pressure to deliver exceptional customer service
• Excellent time management and multitasking skills
• Passion for using seasonal, locally sourced ingredients to create delicious, high-quality meals
• Flexible and adaptable to changing customer needs and kitchen demands
• Food hygiene and safety certification
