Kin Teneriffe is hiring a Sous Chef
We are seeking an experienced, passionate sous chef to help systematise operations, motivate staff and develop new levels of efficiency. Our goal at Kin is to bring high quality ingredients from produce through to cheeses and cured meats into a format people find accessible and enjoyable on a daily basis. As a rapidly growing business, maintaining consistency and standards is a must. Your role will be the crucial one of mentoring your team, improving all procedures and developing new ones and fostering a positive, collaborative environment.
Expectations
. Experience as a Sous Chef or Chef de Partie Experience
. Confident leadership skills with the ability to guide, train, and support a team during both prep and service
. Clear communication style and collaborative approach to all aspects of the job
. Excellent standards in plating, consistency and stock control
. An understanding of stock control, ordering, maintaining supplier relationships and a proactive
approach to improving these area where possible
. Willingness to engage with other local businesses and colleagues in the industry to develop specials and collaborations not otherwise possible within our kitchen
. The ability to solve problem as they happen
. Assistance in developing structures and responding to this set out by ownership
. Providing front of house with prep required from beverage specials and ensuring the kitchen teams is prepared and ready to do so
Offer
. Starting from $75k + super with a 6 month review for pay increase
. $50 weekly produce allowance from Suncoast Fresh
. $300 referral bonus for referring other chefs
. Complimentary staff meals (and 30% off outside of service)
. Daytimes hours, no nights, one weekend day on, one off
