About the role

This part-time Medical Receptionist role at the Kingaroy General Practice offers an exciting opportunity to join a highly respected healthcare organisation. As a Medical Receptionist, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and administrative support to patients, clinicians and the broader practice team.

What you'll be doing

Greeting and welcoming patients, both in-person and over the phone, in a friendly and professional manner

Managing patient bookings and scheduling appointments

Collecting and processing patient information, including registrations and payments

Maintaining accurate and up-to-date medical records and patient files

Assisting with general office administration tasks as required

Liaising with other healthcare providers and external parties on behalf of the practice

Ensuring the reception area is well-presented and the practice runs smoothly

What we're looking for

Prior experience in a medical reception or customer service role, ideally within a healthcare setting

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with patients, clinicians and colleagues

Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail

Proficiency in using medical practice management software and standard office applications

A professional, compassionate and discreet approach to handling sensitive patient information

A genuine interest in the healthcare industry and a commitment to providing high-quality patient care
