About the role
Fixed term temporary part time opportunity to provide exposure to a broad scope of responsibilities across clinical coding, activity-based funding, health informatics in a digital facility, and staff management.
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:
- Self-manage continuous knowledge of clinical coding, activity-based funding, and performance monitoring including new developments, legislation, and industry standards.
- Participate in the Coder-Clinician Liaison (CCL) program to clarify retrospective documentation and missed SNAP opportunities. Implement targeted prospective documentation improvement strategies that improve economies of scale.
- Participate in targeted Diagnostic Related Group (DRG) reviews and other coding audits for data quality improvement purposes.
- Design and amend AS2828 compliant clinical forms using skills in form design combined with the use of graphical design software including Adobe® InDesign®, Adobe® LiveCycle Designer®, Adobe® Acrobat® and Microsoft Word.
- Participate in Metro North forms committee to drive clinical form consistency and standardisation.
