Qualifications & Experience

The ideal candidate will:

• Hold a Proficient Behaviour Support Practitioner registration (or higher) with a Practitioner ID issued by the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission.
• Possess a relevant allied health tertiary degree in Psychology, Social Work, Occupational Therapy or Speech Therapy
• Demonstrate strong report-writing skills.
• Have proficiency in computer systems.
• Exhibit excellent time management skills.
• Have at least one year of experience as a Behaviour Support Practitioner with a willingness to continue learning.
• Be passionate about the industry.
• Be able to work independently, collaboratively in a team, and as a leader among stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop personalised Comprehensive and Interim Behaviour Support Plans.
• Conduct Functional Behaviour Assessments.
• Utilize a variety of assessment tools to evaluate behaviour and gather relevant information.
• Collaborate with families and support networks to enhance participant outcomes.
• Ensure compliance with NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission standards and regulations.
• Build strong rapport with participants and their families using effective interpersonal skills.
• Provide training and skill-building support for participants and their care teams.
• Implement data collection measures to monitor progress.
• Document and report the use of restrictive practices.
• Maintain accurate case notes.
