About the role
Better Tomorrow Services is seeking an experienced Behaviour Support Practitioner to join our team on a full-time or contract basis. In this role, you will be responsible for providing high-quality behavioural support services to our clients, either in our Blacktown office or throughout Sydney.
What you'll be doing
Conducting comprehensive Functional Behaviour Assessments to identify behaviour concerns and goals
Developing and implementing tailored behaviour support plans to help clients manage challenging behaviours
Providing one-on-one coaching and support to clients and their families
Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team of professionals to ensure a holistic approach to client care
Documenting client progress and maintaining detailed case notes
Participating in regular team meetings and professional development activities
What we're looking for
A degree in psychology, social work, or a related field
Currently registered with NDIS as a Behaviour Support Practitioner and have an NDIS Practitioner ID number
Minimum 2 years of experience providing behaviour support services to clients with complex needs
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team and independently
Proficient in using behaviour support techniques and evidence-based practices
Flexible and adaptable to meet the changing needs of clients
Commitment to ongoing professional development and learning
Current Public Liability, Professional Indemnity and Personal Injury insurances (only required for contractors)
Travel
This role requires travel across various locations, including Blacktown, Windsor, Penrith, Bankstown, Cabramatta, and Redfern. The role involves regular travel to these areas, so a successful candidate must be comfortable commuting to multiple locations and adapting to different work environments. A reliable vehicle and a valid driver’s license are essential for this role, as well as the ability to manage travel time effectively to ensure punctuality and efficiency.
