At Arose Therapy, we believe in fostering positive transformations and enhanced wellbeing in our community. We're seeking a passionate, self-motivated Behaviour Support Practitioner to join our boutique practice dedicated to supporting individuals with behavioural and developmental needs.

About the Role

As a Behaviour Support Practitioner with Arose Therapy, you'll work independently to deliver high-quality, person-centred positive behaviour support services to NDIS participants. This position offers a balanced approach—conduct face-to-face visits in the community whilst also working from home for documentation and planning. It offers the freedom to set your own schedule, and build meaningful therapeutic relationships with participants and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive functional behaviour assessments to understand the purpose of challenging behaviours

Develop and implement individualised positive behaviour support plans

Build therapeutic rapport with clients to establish trust and facilitate effective intervention

Foster collaborative relationships with stakeholders, including families, support workers, and service providers

Collaborate with participants, families, and other service providers

Deliver training and support to participants' support networks

Monitor progress and evaluate outcomes of interventions

Complete required documentation and reporting for the NDIS

Maintain professional standards and stay current with evidence-based practices

About You

You hold tertiary qualifications in one of the following: counselling, psychology, ABA, speech therapy, occupational therapy, criminology, disability, education, mental health, music therapy, psychotherapy, special education, social work, sociology or related fields

You're registered as a 'Proficient' Behaviour Support Practitioner with the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission

You're passionate about improving the quality of life for people with disabilities

You value reflective practice and continuous professional development

You're self-motivated and thrive when working independently

You bring genuine empathy and a person-centred approach to your work

You excel at fostering positive, therapeutic relationships with clients and their support networks

You have excellent communication and documentation skills
