NSW based team - Remote working opportunity

My client is a highly reputable and established Top 10 firm with both a national and global network. Some of their key service lines include business advisory, taxation, consulting, audit, risk, and wealth management.

They are now recruiting an exciting opportunity for an experienced Accountant from Senior to Manager level to work in a remote capacity, supporting clients across several of the firms regional offices.

This role will work with 2 Partners based in NSW, and will manage a portfolio of approximately $1.1 million of fees alongside a Senior Manager and 4 other team members. The portfolio has a 70% compliance and 30% advisory split.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience dealing with clients in agriculture and primary production, as this accounts for upwards of 70% of the portfolio. As this role can offer remote working you must be able to proactively manage and mentor team members, maintain strong communication and accountability, and be available for client’s needs.

Although remote based, the ideal candidate would have flexibility to travel on occasion to meet with clients.

Key duties will include:

Delivering end-to-end compliance (STP, TPAR, GST/IAS, year-end financials, and tax returns).

Overseeing tax planning for Partner review

Proactively managing junior staff with minimal oversight

Building rapport and nurturing relationships with diverse regional clients

The ideal candidate will possess:

CA/CPA qualification

A minimum of 5 years experience in a public practice environment

Experience working with clients in the primary production and agribusiness space

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Strong problem solving and analytical abilities
