About the role
We are seeking an experienced Accountant / Senior Accountant to work with a Senior Client Manager on an established Ultra High Net-worth client base. The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of Australian accounting principles and regulations, as an understanding of complex issues around Division 7a and Trust laws.

This role is open to progressing someone into a Client Manager quite quickly if you are looking for growth.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Prepare financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
• Conduct tax planning and compliance activities, including the preparation and submission of tax returns for individuals and businesses.
• Oversee and review the work of junior staff members, providing guidance and support as needed.
• Manage multiple client accounts and ensure that all work is completed accurately and on time.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, serving as their primary point of contact for all accounting-related matters.
• Provide financial advice to clients, helping them to make informed business decisions.
• Monitor and analyse financial data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
• Participate in the development and implementation of internal accounting policies and procedures.
• Stay up to date with changes in accounting regulations and best practices.

Skills and experience

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field.
• Currently completing / completed CA/CPA certification
• At least 3 years of experience in tax accounting
• Experience looking after Ultra high-net worth family groups is preferred
• Understand complex issues around Division 7a and Trust laws
• Experience going through an ATO Top 500 review program is desirable
• Proficiency in accounting software and other financial tools and in particular experience with XERO and Class Trust is preferred.
