We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Accountant to join our team on a permanent full-time basis. You will be working closely with partners and senior accountants to meet client needs across tax, compliance and business services.

What’s involved:

This role involves all facets of Business Services for clients including:

Exposure to a wide range of business service activities

Dealing with an interesting and diverse client base, ranging from small businesses to large SME's

Working as part of a team, reporting to multiple partners

Processing of accounting information to prepare statutory financial statements for clients for all types of entities.

Preparation of working papers and supporting documents

Preparation of client correspondence and checking of assessments

Preparation of accounts for client types utilising accounts software - MYOB Accounts (MYOBAE), Xero and BGL.

Preparation of income tax returns for all types of entities

Preparation of Business Activity Statement (BAS) and Instalment Activity Statements (IAS)

Preparing Fringe Benefits Tax (FBT), PAYG, and Payroll Tax calculations

Liaising with clients and external parties in relation to client affairs

Supporting clients with budgeting, financial forecasting and cost management

Assisting in staff training sessions for ongoing professional development

Qualifications and experience:

Degree in Commerce/Economics/Business with an Accounting major

1–2 years’ experience in a public practice accounting firm in Australia

Experience in tax, compliance work and BAS preparation, financial statements preparation

Experience with Xero, MYOB, and BGL

Effective communication, time management, and organisational skills

A proactive, solutions-focused mindset with attention to detail
