Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Carpenter at Clarity Building Group in the Greater Melbourne Area. We are looking for a hardworking, conscientious individual who can read architectural and engineering plans, has great attention to detail and takes pride in the quality of work being completed. The suitable candidate will be responsible for tasks such as carpentry, framing, finish carpentry, and utilising power tools and hand tools to complete building projects efficiently and accurately. Further to this, you will be responsible for ensuring OH&S standards are achieved onsite at all times.

Qualifications

Minimum 5 years experience post apprenticeship

Valid white & red card and own tools

Certificate in OHS III preferred

Proficiency in working with all necessary tools

Experience in all aspects of carpentry

Skills

Reading and interpreting construction documentation and plans

Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills to navigate problems on site

Attention to detail and accuracy in craftsmanship

Flexibility to adapt to changing project requirements on a day to day basis.

Physical stamina and strength to handle the demands of the job

Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills

Liaise in a professional manner with all trades onsite

Leading and directing all personnel on sites to ensure project outcomes are met on time and on budget

Collaborating with the CBG team to ensure timely completion of projects

Previous site management/supervision skills highly regarded
