Ced Wise AB Services Pty Ltd (“CWAB”) is seeking a Leading Bovine Repro Livestock Hand to join the fun, friendly and social team. Located in the picturesque Granite Belt Region of Southern Qld.

The position:

Applicants will be expected to carry out a breadth of operations at CWAB, including but not limited to feeding animals to their individual needs, assisting with the collection of bulls, maintenance of the facilities and plant as well as assisting in the treatment of animals and health testing. This role is suited to a professional, enthusiastic, motivated individual seeking to become part of a strong and exciting team environment.

This is a hands-on role with a significant portion of your day spent interacting with the bulls and cows. The applicant must be confident and have sufficient experience in the handling of all breeds and temperaments of bulls and cows.

Applicants with the following attributes are encouraged to apply:

Experience:

A thorough knowledge of cattle handling & animal husbandry

Previous experience in seedstock operations

Operation of tractor and mixer wagon, previous experience in feedlot preferred

Skills & Qualifications of the applicant:

Ability to oversee the day to day external operations

Low stress stock handling

Enjoy practical work

Able to undertake manual and sometimes heavy work

Responsible approach and attitude

Able to work outdoors in any kind of weather condition for long periods of time

Mechanical aptitude

Observant and able to complete tasks to a high standard with attention to detail

Safe operation of UTV and ATV and any other machinery

Must be prepared to work a weekend roster

Exceptional time management

A current driver’s license is required for this position (manual)

We are able to provide our services across the nation with our custom-built mobile laboratories or at our reproduction centre located in Glen Aplin, Queensland.
