About the role
As the General Manager, People Services and Capability, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the strategic direction and development of the Department by delivering high-quality, professional, and customer-focused human resource services to the Executive Leadership Group (ELG), Directors, and line managers.
The role:
Provides professional high level human resource advice to the Director General and the Executive
Participates in the strategic planning and business plans to implement the Department's objectives
Represents the Department on forums and tribunals and negotiates with stakeholders including central agencies and union representatives.
Essential requirements for this role:
Demonstrated practical experience in leading and managing the service delivery of a broad range of human resource functions
Demonstrated experience in identifying, developing and implementing innovative management strategies to meet business needs.
Demonstrated experience in managing multidiscipline teams during periods of change.
