A medium sized radiology company is seeking a contract bookkeeper / practice assistant to join our team. As the Bookkeeper / Practice Assistant you will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate and timely financial records and supporting our Radiologists to provide the highest quality patient care.

Your responsibilities:

Prepare and process debtor invoices.

Record creditor invoices and follow approval process for payment of invoices.

Prepare monthly Recipient Created Tax Invoices for 36 medical contractors.

Reconcile bank accounts.

General ledger maintenance.

Update and maintain various excel spreadsheets to support debtor invoicing, contractor payments and the assessment of KPIs.

Prepare dividend statements on a 6-week cycle.

Provide administrative support as needed.

Assist in maintaining referrer relationships.

Communication with radiologists, patients, hospitals and referrers.

Ensure compliance with all relevant accounting standards and tax regulations.

What we are looking for:

Capacity to work up to 25 hours a week.

Minimum of 5 years' experience in a bookkeeping or accounting role; experience in the medical industry an advantage but not a requirement.

Strong excel skills.

Proficiency in using Xero.

Experience using Gentu, or similar practice management software, would be an advantage but not essential.

Strong attention to detail and excellent numerical and analytical skills.

Ability to work independently, part of a team and to be proactive.

Confident communication skills.

Willingness to further develop existing and new skillsets.
