The Opportunity
We’re looking for a meticulous and capable Bookkeeper to join us in a part-time role (1–2 days per week). This is an in-house position ideal for someone who loves getting the details right and takes pride in accurate, well-kept financial records.

You’ll work closely with our Director and office team to ensure smooth day-to-day financial operations. You’ll have ownership of the books, and your input will be valued as a key part of keeping our business running efficiently.

What You'll Do
You’ll be responsible for the full scope of bookkeeping tasks, including:

Managing Accounts Payable and Receivable

Verifying, reconciling, and entering invoices

Processing payments, remittances, and supplier invoices

Preparing and sending client invoices

Monthly General Ledger, petty cash, and bank reconciliations, including aged debtor reporting

Payroll processing, including timesheet checks and superannuation payments

Preparing BAS, PAYG, GST and other ATO obligations

Maintaining clear and well-organised financial records

Supporting general admin such as estimating assistance, answering phones, and purchase orders

Communicating professionally with clients, staff, contractors, accountants, and insurers

Assisting with HR and debt collection as needed

Essential Requirements

Strong bookkeeping experience (especially in a small or trades-based business)

Proficiency with Xero (must-have)

Ideally, familiarity with SimPRO (or a similar job/project management system)

Solid understanding of ATO compliance, payroll, and general accounting principles

Professional aptitude in liaising with Clients, Staff, Contractors, Management, Accountants, Insurance Brokers etc

Assist in some HR matters
