Role Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Cook who is confident in a fast-paced kitchen, has a strong understanding of café-style food, and can work across multiple areas of the kitchen when needed. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who takes pride in food presentation, consistency, and cleanliness.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and cook a variety of breakfast and lunch dishes to a high standard

Maintain consistency in quality, portion control, and presentation

Support stock control, ordering, and kitchen organisation

Ensure food safety and hygiene standards are upheld at all times

Assist with prep, kitchen clean down, and dishwashing as required

Work collaboratively with front-of-house and kitchen staff

Contribute to menu development or specials when needed

Is open to learning or already has some experience in baking

Requirements:

Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar café or fast-paced kitchen

Strong knowledge of breakfast/lunch service and short-order cooking

Ability to multitask and work under pressure during busy periods

Reliable, punctual, and a team player

Good communication skills and a positive attitude

Food Safety Certification (desirable)

Available to work weekdays and weekends as rostered
