About Goodstart Nelson Bay

Would you describe yourself as a passionate and experienced in the Early Childhood sector? Looking for a new challenge in a leadership position? We are looking for an Educational Leader in our 59-place Goodstart Nelson Bay centre, located close to the beach, town and surrounded by nature. This role offers an exciting opportunity to shape our educational programs and support our dedicated team.

• Lead and support the team, ensuring high standards of educational practices.
• Primarily work in a floating position and enjoy work flexibility with set shifts.
• Assist with programming and planning (3 hours weekly dedicated to this task).
• Work collaboratively with the Centre Director to enhance educational outcomes.
• Provide guidance and mentoring other educators.
• Support the team with immediate needs, especially during staff shortages.
• Contribute to community engagement initiatives, including art projects and beach visits.

Essential Criteria:

• Strong background in early childhood education, with leadership experience.
• Proven ability to support and mentor a team of educators.
• Passion for early childhood learning and curriculum development.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively and contribute to a positive workplace culture.

You'll need:

• A Diploma or Bachelor in Early Childhood (or ACECQA approved equivalent)
• Teachers in NSW must hold a vaild NESA accrediation.
• Strong knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework and National Quality Standards
• Current NSW Working with Children Check
