Our locally owned industrial and trade hardware business is seeking a diligent Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable Officer to join our small team. It is part-time position for about 10 - 12 hours per week. We are flexible and can accommodate specific days and times for the right person.

What you'll be doing

Processing and reconciling accounts payable invoices

Managing the accounts receivable process, including invoicing, statement preparation and chasing overdue payments

Maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring all transactions are properly documented

Working with counter staff to identify and resolve accounting or data entry issues

Preparing reports and supporting the month-end close process for sending to the accountant for lodgment.

Assist with other accounting and administrative tasks as required

What we're looking for

Experience using MYOB

Friendly, diligent and able to work independently as well as with our small team of 5

Enquiring mind and problem-solving skills

Experience working in an inventory-based, retail business with account customers

Knowledge of Australian accounting standards and compliance requirements
