Dizza Communications is a leading turnkey provider of Australian telecommunications contracting services. It was established with the key focus of ensuring we consistently deliver a prompt, cost-effective service for our clients while never compromising on safety.

We have a vacancy for a newly created position of a permanent part-time Accounts, Payroll and Administration Assistant working three days per week, (22.5 hours) with the ability to work up as required. Days and hours can be discussed and there is some flexibility. We are located in Anketell and work out of a construction yard, which means wearing steel toe cap boots.

The role is responsible for providing an accounts, payroll and administration service to the Company. The role will be the first point of contact for all queries regarding these areas. The role is currently outsourced, but we are looking to bring this in-house.

This role would suit someone who has at least three to five years’ experience in a similar position and who feels confident to be able to come in and hit the ground running. The pace can be fast at times, and you need to have the energy to keep up.

Key Responsibilities

To manage all accounts payable and receivable

To process all weekly timesheets in preparation for payroll

To process invoices in preparation for bill runs

Data entry requirements to allocate costs and labour

To reconcile customer accounts monthly

To report on and monitor expenses as required

To answer incoming accounts, payroll and administration queries

To manage all incoming correspondence and emails

To order all stationery and sundries

To provide general administration support to the team as required to support leave coverage

To drive, develop and deliver business improvement programs for all company processes, policies and procedures

Key Skills and Experience Required

A minimum of three to five years proven experience in a similar position

A qualification in accounts/bookkeeping and business administration is desirable

Experience of Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable essential

A working knowledge of Xero accounting software

Previous experience with payroll, including working with varied pay terms is essential

Intermediate or advanced working knowledge of Excel and Word

Strong technical and computer skills

Must be able to work with people at all levels within the organization and with different cultures

Must be able to work as part of a team as well as independently

General Administration experience

Highly developed analytical, numeracy and problem-solving skills required

Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Highly organised with strong attention to detail.

Proven ability to multi-task with strong time management and the ability to manage competing demands.

A positive and proactive attitude, solid work ethic and a passion for customer service.
