Billings & Cash Collection Manager – Tech / Print Industry
North Ryde | Full-Time | $120k Base + Super | 5 Days in Office
We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established and fast-growing company in the Tech, IT Services, and Print Solutions industry. With over 1,200 active clients and an aggressive growth target over the next 12 months, our client is seeking a hands-on Billings & Cash Collection Manager to take ownership of their end-to-end receivables function while managing a small, high-performing team.
This role is ideal for a proactive, commercially minded individual with experience in a similar environment who enjoys balancing leadership with rolling up their sleeves.
About the Role Reporting directly to a key executive leader, this is a 70% operational / 30% leadership role. You’ll oversee billing and cash collection across a national customer base, manage two staff members (North Ryde & Wollongong), and play a key part in improving financial performance as the company scales.
Key Responsibilities
- Full ownership of the accounts receivable and billing process, from invoice creation to payment collection and reconciliation
- Lead and mentor a team of two (split across two locations)
- Drive collections performance across high-value and recurring billing clients
- Investigate and resolve billing issues, ensuring client satisfaction and timely payments
- Liaise with internal teams and external funders to maintain smooth billing operations
- Prepare regular cash flow and aged receivables reports
- Identify and implement process improvements in billing and collections
Your Background
- Must have industry experience in Tech, IT Services, or Print (e.g., Canon, Ricoh, Lexmark, etc.)
- Proven experience in billing, cash collection, and accounts receivable
- Confident managing and mentoring small teams
- High level of initiative – you ask questions, challenge processes, and make things better
- Strong communication skills – verbal, written, and stakeholder-facing
- Sound knowledge of Excel, Xero, and CRM tools
- Must be a Permanent Resident or Citizen of Australia
