About Vitalcare
Vitalcare has pioneered nurse call systems in hospitals and aged care facilities for over 30 years. The company designs, manufactures, installs and services the most innovative systems available through a network of company owned branches and distributors in Australia and New Zealand.

Systems include traditional nurse call infrastructure with both wired and wireless technology along with specialist ecosystems for dementia support, fall detection, RTLS, and wandering resident management. Expertise includes wireless IoT (internet of things), mmWave radar, voice, lidar and machine vision. All Vitalcare systems are supported via Vitalcloud, the company’s secure cloud-based management and reporting network.

Vitalcare also operates ‘Rosie’, a 24-hour personal emergency call centre.

Role overview
Vitalcare is growing rapidly and to meet our increasing sales volume we require a dedicated workshoo professional to manage everything to do with production and repair of our products from manufacturer engagement to inventory management, assembly, quality control and dispatch.

The company designs all its products in Australia with manufacturing carried out by contractors in Australia and overseas. Assembly and testing is carried out at our Lane Cove premises before installation by our field service and support teams.

Ideal candidate
Our ideal candidate comes from the electronics manufacturing industry who is familiar with all elements of the production cycle, including repairs and inventory management. Attributes would include:

Strong working knowledge of electronics.

Appropriate qualifications or related experience.

Detailed understanding of manufacturing and production engineering.

Competence with, and knowledge of, ERP systems.

Expert with Unleashed or Odoo inventory management software.

Ability to plan and manage projects taking responsibility for successful on-time delivery.

Supervision experience to manage a small team.

Experience with office IP systems.

Proven self-motivation and the ability to work closely with others in a collegiate environment.

Excellent attention to detail and strict quality control measures.

Excellent personal communication skills.

Outstanding customer engagement skills.

Responsibilities
The role has full responsibility for our product supply chain from purchasing to contractor management along with workshop repairs. Specific responsibilities include:

Management of electronic device assembly.

Manage small workshop team.

Implementation of quality control procedures and departmental processes including adherence to ISO9001 standards.

Maintenance and creation of product BOM (Bill Of Materials) documentation for existing and new products.

Management and responsibility for inventory management software (Unleashed).

Monitor and manage inventory and purchases to meet production schedule.

Identify options and sources for components.

Identify EOL material and devices and negotiate with recommended suppliers.

Customer service and managing outgoing sales orders.

Assist in the evaluation of returned materials/products.

Management of repairs and maintenance of both client and company products.

Management of manufacturer and supplier relations in Australia and internationally.

Support ECO (Engineering Change Order) processes.

Create and maintain test instructions and assembly instructions used to manufacture products.
