My client has one of the biggest names in the world for construction machinery and highly specialised mobile equipment. The have over 30 offices listed throughout the world and stand at the forefront of industry. With three major manufacturing facilities listed in Asia, Europe and USA they can supply high technical products to any key project that requires highly technical earthmoving solutions. Backed by head office in Europe they have been providing manufactured equipment since the early 40’s.

In this role you will work Monday to Friday 7:30 to 4:00pm and with standard over time rates in place most staff are doing between 50 – 60 hours each week.

Your job will be to maintain a running fleet off mobile equipment listing from drill rigs, cranes, trucks, carriers and specialist drilling power packs, you also work on lighting towers and generators. With new machine builds and managing existing machines the diversity in the workshop is huge.

Job Responsibilities –

Determines vehicle condition by conducting inspections and diagnostic tests; identifying worn and damaged parts.

Keeps equipment available for use by completing preventive maintenance schedules; installing component and part upgrades; controlling corrosion; completing key procedures.

Corrects vehicle deficiencies by removing, repairing, adjusting, overhauling, assembling, disassembling, and replacing major assemblies, sub-assemblies, components, parts, or systems, such as, power and drive trains, electrical, air conditioning, fuel, emission, brake, steering, hydraulics; completes machine shop operations; making adjustments and alignments including bearing loads, gear tooth contact, valve mechanisms, governors, oil systems, control linkages, clutches, and traction units.

Verifies vehicle performance by conducting test drives; adjusting controls and systems.

Complies with federal and state vehicle requirements by testing engine, safety, and combustion control standards.

Maintains vehicle appearance by cleaning, washing, and painting.

Maintains vehicle records by annotating services and repairs.

Keeps shop equipment operating by following operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; maintaining supplies; performing preventive maintenance; calling for repairs.

Contains costs by using warranty; evaluating service and parts options.

Keeps supplies ready by inventorying stock; placing orders; verifying receipt.

Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading technical and regulation publications.

Enhances maintenance department and organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.

Electrical wiring and AC & DC electric motor works with fault finding on all CANBUS system.

Candidate Reequipments –

· Cert 111 Heavy Plant Technician

· CANBUS and strong fault-finding experience

· If you have worked for an earthmoving Dealer or Major Earthmoving OEM this would be highly regarded

· Clear knowledge of Earthmoving Equipment

· Forklift Licence

· You must be and Australian Citizen or Visa right to work here in Australia, we are NOT offering sponsorship or any Visa applications.

Salary Package

We are offering a full training and support package along with the ability to earn excellent money. This is full time job and we have staff that have been with the business for over 10 years. You will also be provided with career path to field service and or management.

· Hourly rates $45 to $55.00
