This pivotal role supports SCADA operations and infrastructure, ensuring reliable performance, minimal risk, and cost-effective solutions across the water and wastewater network. About the role:
  • Develop, install, and maintain electronic Monitoring and Control Systems for critical Water and Sewer Assets.
  • Support the operation and performance of SCADA systems, ensuring reliable infrastructure at minimal risk and cost.
  • Monitor system performance and contribute to maintenance programs and short-to-medium term capital planning.
  • Provide technical support to Mechanical and Electrical teams and assist other business areas as required.
  • Work collaboratively within the Water Unit, demonstrating flexibility, attention to detail, and a strong client service focus.

We are seeking:
  • A qualified professional with a NSW Electrical or Contractor’s Licence and a minimum of two years' relevant experience.
  • Strong technical expertise, including Certificate IV in Instrumentation (or equivalent experience), and demonstrated competence in installing, maintaining, and calibrating instrumentation.
  • Proven experience with PLC programming (Ladder Logic / Function Block), SCADA systems, and Radio Telemetry Systems.
  • In-depth knowledge of water supply, sewage treatment processes, and the ability to design, implement, and manage control systems and complex plant circuitry.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to conduct root cause analysis and collaborate on process improvements.
