About the Role
As an Intake Officer, you’ll be the first point of contact for new clients, helping them feel supported and informed from the start—while building your career in a role with purpose, variety, and growth potential.
As an Intake Officer, you will manage the end-to-end onboarding process for clients, ensuring all necessary information is collected and services are activated promptly. You will handle enquiries, explain available services, assist with documentation, and maintain accurate records. The role also involves drafting service agreements, coordinating with internal teams, managing intake emails, and supporting administrative tasks, including invoicing, reception, and IT coordination. You will play an active role in process improvement and stay up to date with NDIS policies and requirements.
Some of your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Manage end-to-end onboarding for new and existing clients, ensuring accurate information collection and timely service activation.
- Respond to enquiries from participants, families, and referrers via phone, email, and in-person, and conduct initial assessments to gather relevant client information.
- Explain LifeFul’s services (allied health, plan management, support coordination, daily living), assist with documentation, and support clients with NDIS requirements.
- Draft and issue service agreements, variations, and updates while maintaining accurate and confidential records in line with policies and NDIS guidelines.
- Liaise with managers and teams to coordinate smooth service delivery and daily intake emails to meet service-level expectations.
- Support admin and reception tasks, including invoicing, audits, KPI follow-ups, IT coordination, and team projects.
- Contribute to process improvement, attend meetings and training, stay current with NDIS changes, and meet performance targets.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Experience in a customer-facing or intake role, preferably within the disability, community services, or health sectors.
- Knowledge of the NDIS framework, including plan management, support coordination, allied health, and daily living supports, preferred.
- Proficiency with client management software and Microsoft Office applications.
- NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Working with Children Check
- Right to work in Australia
- Certificate of Completion for NDIS training modules
